Maegan Morrow is a Board-Certified Music Therapist, and currently works at Houston Methodist the Woodlands with the Center for Performing Arts Medicine since January 2021. She has been practicing Music Therapy since 2003. Her area of expertise is using Neurologic Music Therapy techniques for interdisciplinary work in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation setting. She is well known for her work with the former patient and congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. She has been featured in national and international media including Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s medical interviews on CNN, Newsweek, USA Today, the Grammys.com, and ABC Nightline with Bob Woodruff. In 2012 she and her team were chosen as Diane Sawyer’s “persons of the week” and in 2015 she and fellow American music therapists were chosen as David Muir’s “persons of the week”. She is part of the Stroke comprehensive program with the Physical Rehabilitation teams here at Houston Methodist the Woodlands.
