Dr. Dwayne Taliaferro currently serves as a Health Science Program Manager for the Traumatic Brain Injury and Psychological Health Research Program (TBIPHRP) and Program Area Liaison (PAL) supporting the Combat Casualty Care Research Program (CCCRP) at the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP), U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command in Fort Detrick, MD.
As Program Manager for the TBIPHRP, Dr. Taliaferro oversees the solicitation, review, and management of biomedical research on that strives to optimize the prevention, assessment, and treatment of psychological health conditions and traumatic brain injuries. As Program Area Liaison supporting the CCCRP, Dr. Taliaferro coordinates, as requested, funding opportunity development, application review, and award management support. This support facilitates CCCRP’s mission to drive medical innovation for the acute and early management of combat-related trauma.
Dr. Taliaferro is a member of the U.S. Army Acquisition Corps holds a Ph.D. degree in molecular biology from University of Maryland in Baltimore County, B.S. degree in biology from the College of William and Mary, and Science and Technology Management Level II certification.
