Bettina Studer, PhD, PD, is the Global Head of Clinical and Scientific Affairs at DIH and Hocoma. DIH invents, manufactures and enables advanced rehabilitation technologies along the continuum of care to empower clinical providers and researchers. Within her current role, she conducts research on the clinical effectiveness and efficiency of robotic and other advanced technologies for motor rehabilitation, participates in technology innovation projects and supports clincians in integrating advanced technologies into their clinical workflows and rehabilitation programs together with her team. Bettina has over a decade of experience in clinical and scientific leadership across healthcare, med-tech, and academia, and an extensive research background in clinical and applied neurosciences. Her previous research focuses include developing and testing new decision neuroscience-derived tools to enhance motivation and self-directed training in neurorehabilitation patients, apathy and other motivational deficits post stroke, alterations in social decision making post stroke, and health services in neurorehabilitation.
