Ilya Pyatnitskiy, MD

I'm a radiologist and Co-Director of the neurotech lab at UT Austin.

1) Previously, I co-founded two early-stage health tech startups in Europe, one of which successfully exited through Aqui-hire and IP acquisition. I also led the development and launch of the first-in-class breast cancer screening program in Moscow.

2) In a prior research project, I developed, implemented, and obtained a US patent for novel MRI protocols and 3D visualization technologies for peripheral nerve imaging. I was honored with the Basic Science Awards from the Sexual Medicine Society of North America in 2019 and 2020.

3) With an extensive background in the neurostimulation field, I am currently focused on developing and assessing wearable brain-computer interfaces for further commercialization. My work aims to treat various diseases, including creating a wearable system for in-home stroke rehabilitation.
