In this 60-minute symposium, attendees will hear from three speakers who will present perspectives on reconciling the potential conflict between intrinsic motivations for pursuing a career in rehabilitation medicine and the external metrics that often define success in different career settings. Topics discussed will include how personal definitions of success change as professionals advance in their careers, how leadership can place mid-career professionals in positions where they will thrive in the institution, and strategies mid-career professionals can use when talking with leadership about finding roles that are personally fulfilling and align with the needs of the institution.
