Mindfulness and Nature-based Therapy: Foundations, Applications and Intersections 9624

Mindfulness and nature-based therapy are two complementary approaches to mental health and well-being. Mindfulness involves cultivating awareness of the present moment, while nature-based therapy involves engaging with the natural world to promote healing and growth. Further examination of the theoretical underpinnings of mindfulness and nature-based therapy and the practical applications in clinical and community settings will be delineated with a blended operationalized approach to blending informal mindfulness and nature-based therapies to enhance intervention outcomes. Specifically, applications to post-traumatic stress disorder and sensory information processing will be discussed in a mechanized approach.
