Julia Karsten PT, DPT, NCS, CBIS is a senior physical therapist at Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. She has over 7 years of clinical experience across diverse healthcare settings and currently works full-time on an acute inpatient neurorehabilitation unit, evaluating and treating adults with acquired brain injury and other neurological & complex orthopedic conditions. Julia has presented posters at APTA’s Combined Sections Meeting, ACRM conference, and the 5th International Gait and Balance Symposium in Multiple Sclerosis. Julia received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Hunter College and recently achieved APTA board certification in Neurology in March 2021. Julia is also a faculty member of the Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency program offered through NYU Langone Health and an adjunct faculity member at Hunter College DPT program.
