Dr. Osteen completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay in 2016. He then completed master’s and doctoral training in Applied Social Psychology at Loyola University Chicago in 2019 and 2024, respectively. He joined CINCCH at the Hines VA in 2017 as a research assistant and since served as the Project Manager for the evidence-based policy evaluation center, EPEC-Vet, since 2023. Within this center, he currently works on projects assessing the impact of military toxins legislation on Veterans healthcare and the VA’s vocational rehabilitation and employment programs. Additionally, he works on the Evaluations Monitoring IPT support team accessing PACT Act evaluations. His major research interests include provider and system level trust, provider-patient communication, social determinants of health, and healthcare policy.
