Margaret Irwin is the Rehab Clinical Educator at Northwell Health Glen Cove Hospital. Margaret graduated from the University of Hartford with Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2002. She has been practicing for 22 years primarily in the inpatient acute rehabilitation setting. Throughout her career, Margaret has extensive clinical experience working with the stroke, brain injury, limb loss, spinal cord injury, and medically complex populations. In 2022, Margaret took on the role of clinical educator at Northwell Health Glen Cove Hospital. Her work as clinical educator focuses on staff and patient education. Margaret has been instrumental in launching programs such the "My Rehabilitation Journey" books to improve patient education, diagnosis specific education training modules for staff professional development and orientation pathways for therapy staff. Margaret is devoted to developing education for patients and staff alike and creating lifelong learners.
