Timothy Reissman attained his Doctoral and Undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University. He is an Associate Professor at University of Dayton within Mechanical Engineering. In addition to his engineering background, he trained for three years at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now known as the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab), as an NIH postdoctoral fellow studying in the rehabilitation areas of amputation and spinal cord injury. His current research is focused on rehabilitation topics including exoskeletons, gait, machine learning, and human-machine interfacing.
