Dr. Samuel Lauman is a Human Movement Scientist with a passion for optimizing movement and recovery outcomes through innovative technology. After completing his undergraduate work at Western Sydney University (Campbelltown, NSW, Australia) in 2015, Samuel went on to receive his Masters of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Texas at Arlington (Arlington, TX). Samuel completed his Doctorate in Kinesiology in 2022 with a focus on Movement and Rehabilitation Science, investigating the nonverbal communication and psychological ramifications of forward head posture in college-aged populations. He is also a certified and licensed athletic trainer with extensive experience in elite sports and clinical populations.
Upon graduation in 2022, Dr. Lauman began a post-doctorate under Dr. John Abt at the Children's Health Andrews Institute in Plano, TX. He currently focuses his research on exploring the use of augmented reality for rehabilitation and assessment in pediatric populations. This work holds promise in improving engagement and potentially accelerating recovery in young patients.
