Yvonne Colgrove, PT, PhD is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education in the University of Kansas Medical Center
Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Science, and Athletic Training Department. She is an established researcher and educator who serves in a leadership role in the department. Her research agenda includes both clinical research and educational research. Clinical research has focused on the effectiveness of yoga in chronic conditions. Her educational research agenda started small but has greatly accelerated due to involvement in various organizations within the physical therapy field both locally and nationally. This has yielded several collaborative research projects mostly related to clinical education and mentorship in doing qualitative research. It has also led to the development of an institutional research network. As an active and founding member of the LEARN-PT Lab at the University of Kansas Medical, our lab goal is to promote excellence and collaboration to optimize physical therapy education. She has received multiple awards for her excellence in teaching.
