Central Michigan University College of Medicine
I am a third year medical student attending Central Michigan University College of Medicine. Prior to medical school, I received my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Central Michigan University. Coming from a different academic background than most others in my field has given me a unique perspective on quality of patient care, patient rights, and the roles of the physician and medical professionals in the integrative care model. In my life, I have made it a priority to volunteer in local hospitals and homeless shelters, intern at mental health resource centers, and attend conferences of multiple disciplines to foster a respect of the multifaceted nature of care systems in our communities. Ensuring the accessibility, availability, and quality of all kinds of medical care in the future is vital to my personal mission as a future physician. I look forward to advancing the field with research contributions that can be utilized to elevate the patient experience while increasing the probability of favorable health outcomes.
