I am a medical doctor with a Master of Public Health (MPH) and am currently a PhD candidate in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of British Columbia. My research focuses on three overlapping areas: assistive technology, social participation, and outcome measurement. Our research team, in partnership with RAD Society, is designing a program to improve participation in outdoor physical activities among individuals with mobility impairments. Using community participatory research methods and the Design Thinking model, I investigate the experiences of individuals with mobility impairments and evaluate the usability of programs aimed at enhancing their participation.
