Alana Moser, PhD, LDT, CALT, CBIST:
Dr. Alana Moser, received her master’s degree in Special education from Texas Tech and her PhD from Liberty University also in Special Education. She has been with Texas Children’s Hospital for 8 years working as the school coordinator for the child life department. As school coordinator, she assists hospitalized children to meet their educational outcomes, and works with schools to minimize educational gaps. She educates families (and schools) on how the to support a child’s educational needs as they transition back to school following a new diagnosis. Her research interests focus around school reintegration following a Traumatic Brain Injury.
Prior to her years at Texas Children's Hospital, Dr. Moser worked in local school districts beginning as a teacher and eventually supported students with dyslexia as a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist and Certified Academic Language Therapist. This is where she developed her passion for child with special needs, and advocating for children’s rights within education system.
