Sarah Zera, OTD, OTR/L is the Founder of Moxie OT, a mobile occupational therapy practice. She has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient rehab, outpatient, skilled nursing, and academia. Her current practice is focused on stroke and brain injury rehabilitation. She has delivered occupational therapy with Vivistim Paired vagus nerve stimulation for the past year. She has fullfilled the roles of Interventionist, Recruiter, and Evaluator for the “Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) During Rehabilitation using the Vivistim System®: Post-Market Study for Stroke Rehabilitation in a Home Environment for subjects with Chronic Stroke (VNS-REHAB At-Home). Dr. Zera also has experience working in implementation research projects within the day rehabilitation setting including co-facilitating the first IPASS self-management group held in the day rehabilitation setting and recruiting for a follow up study. Dr. Zera also has experience exploring manualized group interventions working with Dr. Rice at the University of Illinois as an interventionist implementing the i-Roll intervention.
