Sydney Winokur is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2023 with an Honour Specialization in Kinesiology, Bachelors of Science (BSc). Sydney earned the Tanenbaum Institute for Sports in Science (TISS) Graduate Student Scholarship at the University of Toronto where she currently is completing her Master's of Science in Kinesiology under supervisor Dr. Joyce Chen. Her research focuses on the use of a non-invasive form of brain stimulation called transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and its potential applications. Specifically Sydney is interested in applying tDCS to mitigate the effects of central fatigue.
