Dr. Hogene Kim seeks practically useful solutions on neuro-musculoskeletal rehabilitations using principles of human biomechanics and robotic implementations. He received a PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering, concentrating on Human Biomechanics, at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with Robotics & Controls concentration at Stanford University, and the B.S in Seoul National University. His area of research focus is to understand mechanisms of human neurological movements, e.g., ankle rehabilitation, gait & balance, that advances clinical interventions. His recent focus is to investigate rehabilitation exercises and related Assistive Technology that may benefit the people with special needs in the community.
