Education:
Megan’s graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health and a Minor in Psychology. Megan discovered the field of Occupational Therapy in undergrad and continued her pursuit of lifelong learning at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She plans to graduate in August 2025 with a Doctor in Occupational Therapy.
Leadership and Professional Development
Megan is a member of the academic occupational therapy research organization Pi Theta Epsilon and served as the secretary of the Student Occupational Therapy Association. Megan is an active member of both the Texas Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association, demonstrating her dedication to professional growth and development.
Work Experience
As a Technician at Texas Hand Therapy in undergrad, she coordinated scheduling, mediated with insurance companies, and assisted patients with preparatory modalities, demonstrating her dedication to quality services for patients. She also served as an Aggie ACHIEVE Job Coach at Texas A&M University, promoting independence and social integration in the workplace for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Megan worked as a research assistant with Aggie ACHIEVE working towards video-based interventions for students with IDD.
Community Service
Megan has dedicated many hours volunteering. Megan’s time spent serving the unhoused led her to becoming an Occupational Therapist and dedicating her research to those who are often isolated from society and deprived of human connection.
Future Endeavors
With an extensive education, leadership experience, and commitment to serving others, Megan is set to embark on a fulfilling career as an occupational therapist. With her compassion and dedication to research, Megan will continue to positively impact those in need and leave a legacy of compassion on the world.
