Celeste Garcia is a recent graduate of the Master’s in Public Health program from the Department of Health Systems and Population Health at the University of Washington and a bilingual certified Health Education Specialist. She has three years of experience as a research assistant, during which she worked on culturally adapting and pilot testing a virtual training program for Latino caregivers managing dementia symptoms, as well as conducting research on a bicultural/bilingual navigation program (1stBIEN) for Hispanic children with traumatic brain injuries. Prior to her research work, Celeste served as a health educator at a federally qualified health center, where she provided health and wellness education on chronic conditions. Her research interests and career goals focus on addressing health disparities, particularly among Hispanic and Latino communities, by developing culturally appropriate interventions and improving access to healthcare services
