Dr. Mariana Mendes Bahia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research focuses on aging changes in swallowing physiology, dysphagia in adults with neurological disorders, respiratory-swallow coordination, skill training using biofeedback modalities, cortical activity during swallowing, and Implementation Science.
