Dr. Priya Kannan obtained her Master (by research) and PhD degrees in Physical Therapy (Women's Health and Pain) from the University of Otago, New Zealand. Her research primarily focuses on pain management, particularly in women 's health, urinary incontinence, exercise prescription, and physical activity. She has several publications in peer-reviewed journals with international standing and high impact factor. She has also presented her research work at national and international conferences. Her work has been recognized in the international arena specifically in Australia. Presentation of Dr. Priya Kannan's work in scientific conference resulted in her achieving "Best New Researcher" at the Australian Physiotherapy Association Conference in Australia (2015).
