Lauren Murphy, PhD, is a Research Scientist in the Center for Outcomes and Assessment Research at Kessler Foundation and a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Murphy is a medical sociologist and her research explores the social determinants of health for people living with chronic mobility disabilities. She has been Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on projects funded by the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation and NIDILRR. Dr. Murphy received a PhD in Sociology from Rutgers University in 2019 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in spinal cord injury research at Kessler Foundation in 2022.
