Jessy Brown has a PhD in Neuroscience and Gerontology from Iowa State University. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist and board-certified music therapist, with years of clinical experience working with individuals across the lifespan. Her current research lies at the intersection of music and speech therapy in persons with Parkinson’s disease. She has a particular interest in dysphagia in those with neurodegenerative diseases as it relates to decisions at the end of life. She co-founded Therapy Abroad, a company that provides sustainable and culturally responsible allied health services internationally.
