Jamilah Alqahtani started her professional journey as an RN after receiving her BSN in Nursing. She worked in critical care settings including emergency, neurocritical, and trauma specialties. In 2019, she graduated with Master of Nursing becoming an Adult Gerontology- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner where she trained with stellar multidisciplinary teams. At the University of Cincinnati (UC), College of Nursing where she obtained a Post-Master’s certificate in nursing education. Her doctoral dissertation focus is on developing and testing a new traumatic brain injury (TBI) caregiver-report measure using exploratory mixed-methods approach. Her areas of research interest include research outcomes in patients and their family caregivers, rehabilitation, measurement, behavioral health, mixed-methods research, psychometrics, health equity and disparity, and social determinants of health. Currently, She is an Assitant Professor in nursing at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Scinces and a Post-doctoral Fellow in population health at King Abdullah International Research Center.
