Emily Carpenito received her bachelor's degree in special education from University of North Carolina - Charlotte in 2012. After teaching middle school students with moderate-severe disabilities, Emily pursued her Master's of Science in Communication Disorders from East Carolina University in 2019.
Emily began her Speech Pathology career at Carolinas Rehabilitation - Charlotte working on the Oncology team serving patients with a variety of Oncological diagnoses. She has assumed the role of Chair for the Atrium Health Continuing Education committee working to provide educational opportunities to others across the system. She has supervised graduate students during the final year of their program as well as serving as a Clinical Fellowship Supervisor to new Speech Language Pathologists. Emily's clinical interests include serving patients with aphasia, dysphagia, and cognitive deficits associated with an Oncology diagnosis.
