Kathleen Poploski, PhD, PT, DPT is an adjunct faculty at the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her PhD in Clinical and Translational Science. She also holds a DPT from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Applied Statistics from the University of Kentucky. Her research has focused on developing a validated model for predicting the risk of secondary surgery following ACL reconstruction (ACLR). Part of this work includes using natural language processing to extract information from ACL operative reports and to identify secondary surgeries. She has also worked on several projects with the Learning Health Systems Rehabilitation Research Network (LeaRRn) the US Marine Corps and Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) as a co-investigator on 3 Department of Defense studies.
