Physical and occupational therapy are crucial parts of the rehabilitation process. Accessing healthcare can be difficult due to mobility issues, geographic constraints, work schedules, and financial barriers. The high rates of clinician burnout and provider shortages exacerbate the challenge. Therapists need tools to expand their expertise beyond clinics and improve access for patients at home. PeleOs Technologies is a biomedical engineering startup focused on creating innovative products to enhance recovery and improve performance while increasing access to high-quality care. The "ROK" and "K'Need Straight" are portable medical devices in development to assist individuals with in-clinic and at-home physical therapy through clinically translated range of motion, strengthening, and joint loading exercises. Therapists can set exercise programs with the ROK System while monitoring patient progress and compliance with objective measurements for personalized treatment plans and data-informed clinical decision-making. They are adjuncts to in-clinic therapy, helping patients with affordable remote access to care.
