The primary focus of my research lies in cognitive assessment and cognitive training in neurological pathologies, encompassing conditions such as multiple sclerosis, traumatic spinal cord injury, and more recently, aging.Over the course of my academic journey, I received twelve prestigious awards and honors, including the J Lawton Smith MD Award for an outstanding original manuscript published in the Journal of Neuro-ophthalmology Society in 2016 and 2024 the ACRM NDNG Women in Neurodegenerative Disease Rehabilitation Science Award.
Utilizing innovative eye tracker technology, my research delved into the origins of subpar performance on cognitive tests and explored the potential of eye tracker technologies as a human-computer interface for testing cognitive functions in traumatic spinal cord injury, including early detection of traumatic brain injury.
