Jaimee Fielder, OTD, OTR, CLVT, CBIST, is a registered occupational therapist, and an assistant professor in the Occupational Therapy Department at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Dallas, TX. She earned her Master of Science and Post-professional Doctorate in occupational therapy from Touro University Nevada, and Texas Woman's University, respectively. Before transitioning into academia, Dr. Fielder practiced clinically as an occupational therapist and specialized in brain injury and low vision, directly influencing her clinical research interests. Her research interests are two-fold, including (1) topics associated with acquired brain injury, including low vision and self-management technologies, and (2) education-related topics, specifically integrating Active Learning Theory into classroom education.
