Nesreen Alissa lives to 'make people fall', a passion which led her to her current position as a PhD Candidate at the University of Maryland Baltimore, School of Medicine, Physical Rehabilitation Science. Nesreen's research focus is reactive balance responses in aging and neurological populations. Her curiosity about balance and falls prevention research led her to spend the past 5 years developing expertise in the various methods of perturbing balance. Nesreen's research focuses on balance assessment and training of stepping and grasping responses using physical balance perturbations. Nesreen's expertise also includes the assessment of balance responses using electromyography, kinetic, kinematic, and psychophysiologic measures.
