Prof. Vanbellingen is part-time group head at the ARTORG center, Biomedical Engineering research, Gerontechnology & Rehabilitation at the university Bern, Switzerland. He ist also recently appointed as Head of Scientific Development at VAMED Switzerland. His main research interest is the development of new assessments tools, rehabilitation interventions in neurological diseases (such as Parkinson's disease). He is principal investigator (PI) of multiple ongoing research projects with a focus on evaluating new innovative sensor-based tools to measure, monitor and also treat neurological symptoms. He is member of multiple scientific boards and act as a Review Editor for Front Rehab Sci.
