Lingjun Chen, PT, M.S., is a PhD student in the Department of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Science, and Athletic Training. Prior to her doctorate training in the Mobility and Falls Lab since 2021 summer, she earned bachelor degree in Rehabilitation Therapeutics from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (China) and master degrees in Physiotherapy from Cardiff University (UK) and Kinesiology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (US). Lingjun’s passion lies in the prevention of fall-related injuries among older populations, with a unique focus on motor control. With the experience in clinical practice and aging research, she believes the multi-disciplinary research can bring new ideas to PT’s routine practice and make differences in clinical outcomes. Currently, she is exploring the head/neck control and arm responsive movements in prevention of fall-related head injuries among older adults.
