Get an inside look at the collaborative efforts between the agencies and give your feedback on where additional collaboration can spur the science supporting rehabilitation efforts across multiple disciplines.


Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this presentation, the participant will be able to: Understand the different missions and funding priorities of the respective federal agencies involved in funding rehabilitation research. Describe funding opportunities in areas relevant to their areas of research Recognize the methods by which funding agencies collaborate to advance scientific discoveries related to rehabilitation.

Learning Objectives:

• Define federal funders' missions and research focus areas.
• Describe types of research activities and funding mechanisms that AHRQ, NIH, NIDILRR, and VA offer.
• Identify the funding opportunities available for training applications from pre-doctoral to post-doctoral stages
• Identify at least two recently published focus areas via special emphasis Notices
• At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to describe funding opportunities in areas relevant to their areas of research
