Disparities in health outcomes and healthcare are prevalent across medical, surgical, and rehabilitation literature, but have not been explored in adults with swallowing disorders. This symposium will disseminate the results of a scoping review investigating racial and ethnic disparities in dysphagia outcomes and dysphagia care provided by Speech-Language Pathologists. We will our discuss rationale for selecting a scoping review approach to our research questions; we will then present our methods, discuss our findings; and discuss future directions for this line of inquiry.

• Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the characteristics of literature examining disparities in dysphagia care and outcomes
• Upon completion, participants will be able to summarize current literature on racial and ethnic disparities in dysphagia care and outcomes
• Upon completion, participants will be able to differentiate a systematic versus scoping review
