Building Integrated Clinical Research Programs: From the Cancer Center to the Community 8041

Integrated clinical research programs are becoming increasingly common in healthcare to optimize population health and healthcare delivery by accelerating the well-documented delays between published research evidence and widespread adoption into clinical practice. In this symposium, we will provide an overview of the unique role of integrated clinical research programs in advancing the quality of and access to outpatient rehabilitation services for individuals living with and beyond cancer. We will discuss key components of integrated research programs and key considerations to build and sustain these programs. We will draw from our collective clinical, research, and operations experience to provide practical examples of these programs in the field of cancer rehabilitation. By comparing and contrasting these real-world integrated clinical research programs, audience members will gain unique and valuable insights that they can use to advance the translation of evidence to practice in their clinical or research setting.
